No matter if it is your first tattoo or your 10th it is always important to take care of your new ink! Skin & Bone Studio carries all the necessary items that you will need as your skin recovers. Our line of recommended products will allow you to repair, defend, refresh, and even enhance the look of your new tattoo. Our artists will be sure to provide you with adequate tips to ensure your healing process goes smoothly.
Initial Care
It is important to be safe with your tattoo the first week that you have your tattoo. Your skin is still fresh and recovering from the being poked and prodded by a tattoo needle. If you are looking to avoid touchups or reworks taking your tattoo care seriously is a must!
What To Expect
After getting your brand new tattoo you will be sent home with it wrapped. It is important to keep the wrap in tact for at least 24 hours! After the initial 24 hours feel free to remove your wrapping and properly clean your tattoo. When cleaning your tattoo it is completely normal to see running ink/color, or even redness.
Routine
Having an aftercare routine is crucial for the longevity of your tattoo’s health. This will allow you to avoid touchups and fading.
Soothing Gel: This will offer you comfort when you first get your new tattoo. Be sure to apply gently to irritated areas.
SPF-30: The sun is the biggest enemy to a tattoo. Applying this product during the hotter days will help prevent any damage to your tattoo/skin.
Tattoo Balms: Our balm tubs/sticks bring many benefits to the table. Balms are great for reducing swelling, enhancing healing, and brightening up your tattoos.
Soap: The perfect option for gentle cleaning of your tattoo. Allowing for brighter, more vibrant existing ink.
